Tech Tip: Magnetic lights are a hands-free way to light up hard-to-reach areas

Sept. 6, 2017
With magnetic mounting clips technicians can attach a light to a lift’s columns, its arms, a tool cart or the vehicle itself.

Technicians can never get too much light under the vehicles they inspect and repair. A vehicle up on a lift, while offering vastly improved visibility, is often partially blocking the overhead lights. To really shine a light on the hard-to-reach problem areas, consider investing in cordless supplemental lighting. It helps techs see even better by providing a light source that can be kept close-at-hand, and is easy to focus exactly where it’s needed, on any kind of lift.
