Ford recalls 652,996 vehicles for failing windshield wipers

April 21, 2022
Certain Ford trucks are being recalled due to potential windshield wipers breaking.

Ford is recalling certain 2020-2021 F-150, Expedition, 2020-2022 Super Duty F-250, F-350, F-450, F-550, and 2020-2021 Lincoln Navigator vehicles due to potential windshield wipers breaking.

The windshield wiper arms may break, causing the windshield wipers to fail, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Ford will begin sending out recall notices in the mail in early May. Owners may contact Ford's customer service by calling 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 22S26.

To remedy the situation, dealers will replace both front windshield wiper arms at no charge.

To check to see if your vehicle has an open recall, visit NHTSA's website and enter the vehicle's 17-digit vehicle identification number.
