Advanced Traction Systems announced the completed acquisition of Flex-Trax under new owner and Chief Executive Officer, D. Anthony (Tony) Bright. Bright is the original founder of Flex-Trax and the inventor of its core product, GoClaws (also marketed as SnoClaws).
GoClaws, an advanced engineered tire traction system for use in mud, sand, snow and on ice was the ultimate solution for tire traction devices. This technology, a unique injection-molded, high strength and high durability polyurethane assembly, represents a significant improvement over historical traction devices such as tire chains, snow tires and studded tires.
These improvements provide a smoother ride and add longer life through improved abrasion resistance and less damage to tires. This innovation also eliminates road damage, exceeds SAE clearance requirements for each vehicle class, and meets the stricter laws enforced by many federal, state and local transportation departments and authorities.
As an example, Canada has made studded tires and tire chains illegal for use in most regions, while giving full approval to GoClaws traction system. GoClaws are available from sizes for passenger vehicles to those required for large trucks and tractor trailers.
Use of GoClaws reduces driver anxiety while improving travel safety in difficult traction situations. Flex-Trax will continue to improve its product technology through R&D and by incorporating market use feedback.
