Parker Fluid Control Division introduces hydrocarbon dosing system to reduce diesel emissions

July 18, 2012
Innovative, cost-effective solution for diesel engine manufacturers and suppliers.

The Fluid Control Division of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has introduced a new hydrocarbon dosing system to the diesel industry.

The system is an innovative and cost-effective fluid control solution to help diesel engine manufacturers and suppliers meet global emissions standards for particulate matter and nitrogen oxides. It can be used in a variety of medium to heavy duty diesel engine applications.

Parker's hydrocarbon dosing system controls the dosing of diesel fuel into the exhaust upstream of the diesel oxidation catalyst to allow efficient regeneration of the diesel particulate filter. It eliminates the need for injector cooling lines while offering unmatched atomization for improved fuel evaporation. The system reduces unwanted fuel coking at the nozzle by utilizing air purge sequencing. The valve control manifold can be mounted away from high-temperature and high-vibration exhaust areas to improve reliability.

Because the hydrocarbon dosing system features fewer components when compared to similar products, it is lighter, faster to assemble and easier to maintain, thus optimizing the total system cost savings.
