Toyota Brake Warning

Some 2015-2017 Toyota Camry vehicles may exhibit a “Check Brake System” message displayed on the MID (multi information display) in the combination meter/instrument cluster assembly at engine startup, along with DTC C1441.

Some 2015-2017 Toyota Camry vehicles may exhibit a “Check Brake System” message displayed on the MID (multi information display) in the combination meter/instrument cluster assembly at engine startup, along with DTC C1441.

An updated skid control ECU logic is now available to address this concern. The previous calibration ID for vehicles equipped with adaptive cruise control is F152606100. The new calibration ID is F152606330. For a Camry without adaptive cruise control, the old calibration is F152606091. The new ID is F152606320.Confirm the presence of CTC C1441. If present,  utilizing the freeze-frame data captured with the DTC, confirm wheel speed. If all wheel speeds = 0, use Techstream to perform a health check to confirm if the skid control ECU calibration has been updated.
