The Kaeser Condensate Filter is designed to filter-out oil and other contaminants, making disposal of the remaining water economically safe. The KCF features a 3-stage, self-contained plastic filter cartridge that the company feels is easier to replace and more convenient for disposal. The need for the filter stems from that fact the oil/water mixture found in the condensate of air lines is classified as hazardous waste, and can't be discharged into municipal wastewater systems unless the oil and contaminants are removed. The KCF can handle most compressor lubricants and is available in 2 sizes for handling flows of about 100 or 500 CFM.
