Q: Can I use any battery charger on newer style AGM and gel cell batteries?
A: No. To properly charge AGM, spiral wound and gel cell batteries you must use a battery charger specifically designed to charge them. Traditional battery chargers will overcharge these types of batteries and cause the battery chemistry to deteriorate, reducing the useful life of the battery.
