Ask the Expert: How does a digital vehicle inspection increase a shop's average repair order?

April 18, 2019
There are multiple factors that increase your ARO, and a DVI is only one piece to the puzzle.

Q: How does a digital vehicle inspection (DVI) increase a shop's average repair order (ARO)?

A: There are multiple factors that increase your ARO, and a DVI is only one piece to the puzzle.  It is also much more effective when executed correctly.  A DVI with pictures, videos, and explanations sent to a customer’s mobile device provides a better understanding as to why repairs are needed, which creates a state of trust and facilitates sales. The sooner we can build trust with our customers, the more inclined they will be to approve repair recommendations on their vehicles.
