Snap-on announces 3/8" Drive TechAngle Flex-Head Torque Wrench

July 24, 2019
The 3/8" Drive TechAngle Flex-Head Torque Wrench has a 5 to 125-ft-lb working range.

The Snap-on 3/8" Drive TechAngle Flex-Head Torque Wrench, No. ATECH2FR125B, provides the same benefits as fellow ATECH series tools, but with more range, strength, and accuracy.

With a 5 to 125-ft-lb working range, technicians can use this torque wrench for a wide array of applications including passenger tires, engines, and suspensions. The tool’s yoke is engineered for a high torque load with added steel mass, as well as a tight tolerance ratchet tang-to-yoke fit. Without compromising on the torsional strength, the heavy duty yoke also provides technicians a smooth indexing movement of the ratchet head up to 15 degrees, and the smaller yoke-to-rachet gap reduces potential pinch points for increased safety.

The No. ATECH2FR125B becomes more precise while in a flexed position (from 0 to 15 degrees) due to the patent pending Snap-on Multi Axis Gyro Compensation (MAG COMP) that allows the tool to automatically measure its position and compensate for the change of length. The 80-tooth ratchet offers a short 4.5-degree arc, making it easy for technicians to work on fasteners in confined spaces and meets or exceeds the ASME B107.300-2010 (B107.28) standard, according to the company. The wrench operates on AA batteries and comes with a two-year warranty.

Features of the Snap-on 3/8" Drive TechAngle Flex-Head Torque Wrench include:

  • Four alert modes (LED, LCD, vibratory, and audible)
  • Six scales for precise measurements in both metric/SI and imperial units, plus angle
  • 10 presets for recalling commonly used torque specifications
  • Cycle counter to help technicians keep their tool calibrated
  • Torque then angle option for bolts that require specific applications of both measurements
  • Battery level indicator
  • Low profile buttons
  • Power interruption technology
  • Dual progressive LEDs and backlight LCD screen provide visibility in dark workspaces
