Delphi Technologies unveils growth opportunities for North American aftermarket at AAPEX

Oct. 18, 2019
The company announced double-digit sales coverage growth in gasoline fuel systems, chassis, and engine management.

Delphi Technologies showcased its product line expansions and link to pioneering OE technologies at AAPEX in Las Vegas from November 5-7, at booth #5027.

The company announced double-digit sales coverage growth in gasoline fuel systems, chassis, and engine management. This expansion plan is designed to increase distributors’ and garages’ revenue opportunities among popular replacement parts. In addition, the company presented its rebranded packaging and its pioneering OE solutions for gasoline direct injection systems, including a new test bench.

Chad Smith, vice president, Delphi Technologies Aftermarket North America, said, “As future trends in automotive become reality, we are committed to help our customers prepare for and profit from what’s ahead. We offer our expertise in the emerging technologies we are building for the top OEMs along with our aftermarket innovations. It’s the best of both worlds: OE heritage and service solutions.”

Enhancements to core aftermarket portfolio

Delphi Technologies shared its plans to grow its customers’ businesses with news about significant sales coverage expansions of its fuel handling, chassis, and engine management product lines in 2019 and 2020. Products at the Delphi Technologies booth were displayed alongside examples of the company’s vibrant new blue packaging. The boxes are now made of higher quality materials, with an improved label format to make it easier to quickly choose the right part.

GDi service program and training

The North American GDi market is expected to grow in excess of 10 percent annually through 2025, according to Frost & Sullivan, IHS/Polk, so it is critical for technicians to learn the skills needed to service these vehicles. A Delphi Technologies senior trainer will offer free training classes on the show floor about how GDi systems work and how to repair them. The booth featured the company’s industry-first 350-bar GDi system, one of its pioneering OE technologies, which provides leaner combustion and low-particulate emissions.

To aid in GDi-related repairs, the company also showcased a working model of the new Hartridge Excalibur GDi Master test machine. Unveiled as a prototype in 2018, it’s the latest addition to its testing equipment line and Hartridge’s first testing solution for gasoline systems, which will enable garages to conduct in-depth testing on injectors in the expanding GDi market.
