The Kit Masters 2-Speed GoldTop helps reduce fan clutch engagements while still providing adequate cooling, according to the company. Through the use of a viscous fluid chamber, the 2-Speed GoldTop is able to remain partially engaged while drawing almost no horsepower from the engine. This partial engagement provides continuous cooling and therefore a full fan clutch engagement is required less often. This results in less noise, better fuel mileage and more consistent operating temperatures. Also, fewer engagements means less wear and tear on the fan clutch. The 2-Speed GoldTop is available as a rebuild/conversion kit, as well as on the Kit Masters' remanufactured fan clutches.
