When the plug is plugged into the trailer receptacle with the sleeve shim, it is seated firmly without any movement. The prongs won’t wear, and a solid connection can be expected, the company says. The safety shims are made of a proprietary blend of polypropylene with additives that protect from UV rays, corrosives, and temperatures down to -25 degrees F.
