    The BG Ultra-Guard LS Heavy Duty synthetic gear lubricant is formulated for durability by providing improved seal conditioning, quieter operation and dependable protection, according to the company. BG Ultra-Guard Heavy Duty with LSII is a synthetic (Polyalphaolefin) A.P.I. GL-5 rated gear oil blended to SAE 75W-140 viscosity. It satisfies all requirements for posi-traction and limited slip hypoid gears. No additive is required for this gear lubricant. The polymer-free technology extends oil life and virtually eliminates viscosity loss.
