Pico Technology recently updated their Two-Channel Automotive Oscilloscope Kit with a USB interface. The unit is supplied with PicoScope® software for collecting, displaying, storing and analyzing vehicle data. The software also provides a test reference library, tutorials on over 50 topics, and waveform illustrations. Provided accessories include current clamps, ignition pickups, test leads and probes in a hard carry case for testing sensors, components, circuits and actuators, including ignition, injectors, ABS, lambda oxygen sensors, relative compression, fuel pumps and CAN bus. And now the unit can be connected and powered through the USB port on any PC or laptop, eliminating the need for a power supply or batteries. Additional upgrades include an improved sampling rate of 20MS/s, a 12-bit resolution and a larger buffer memory for 512k samples. The PicoScope® Automotive software can be continually updated with free upgrades at the company's website. Lifetime technical support is also provided.
