The General Technologies Fuel Injection Analyzer, No. GTC605, is a handheld instrument for the diagnoses and performance measurement of all types of fuel injection systems, including solenoid, piezoelectric and mechanical injectors used on diesel, gasoline, and liquefied natural gas engines. The fuel injector analyzer detects and displays pintle open time, and for solenoid and piezoelectric fuel injectors also displays pintle opening and closing response times, and the injector’s current and control voltage. Checking fuel injectors with the GTC605 is as simple as pressing the sensor against a fuel injector while the engine is running; there is no need to disconnect or remove anything, the company says.
