    The Tracerline VioMAX Plus, No. TP-8650ACS, is a telescopic, True UV leak detection lamp that can access cramped automotive systems to find A/C and other fluid leaks. The bright, 400 nm violet light LED offers optimal fluorescent response and contrast, and works with both universal/ester and PAG A/C dyes, as well as most fluid dyes. To find a leak, add a small amount of fluorescent dye to the leaky system and let it circulate. The dye will escape with the refrigerant or liquid. When scanned with the lightweight, portable VioMAX Plus, the leak will glow. Powered by three 1.5V batteries, the VioMAX Plus has an LED service life of 100,000 hours.
