The Thexton Magnetic Strut Rod Lock, No. 939, is an upgrade to the company's Hood/Tailgate Prop, No. 430. It fits strut rods up to 9/16” in diameter and a magnet has been added in the base to now allow for one-handed applications. The tool securely attaches to a strut rod and holds hood, trunks or tailgates in place. It's made in the U.S.A. from lightweight aluminum and the soft load bolt will not damage the strut rod, the company says.
