The Snap-on Transmission Output Shaft Socket, No. FOS1, is uniquely designed to allow for transmission output shaft nut removal, a necessity for performing transmission work on various Ford vans and trucks. This socket is essential for transmission output shaft removal, which is required for removing and replacing transmission seals and performing general transmission service or repairs. Developed from customer feedback, Snap-on designed a heavy duty four pin socket to service 5R100/5R100W transmissions commonly found on selected FordExcursion, E250/E350, F250/F350/F450/F550 Super Duty models. The FOS1 is precision machined from a single piece of 4140 heat-treated alloy steel and made to easily tackle tough transmission service jobs.
