242 Dual MIG Welder

The Forney 242 Dual MIG Welder offers both steel and aluminum capabilities. The machine has two gas inlets, two gas solenoids, and a switchable output that allows the use of a spool gun to weld aluminum or a traditional MIG gun to weld steel. It has an extended power cord and longer gun cables creating a larger working envelope with less machine movement. The spot-weld timer and knob allow the user to spot or stitch weld consistently. The machine is capable of welding thin sheet metal up to thick plate where it can spray transfer .035” wire, increasing deposition rates and providing spatter-free welds.
