Nov. 20, 2024
The workforce event introduced youths to career paths in automotive parts and distribution.

Federated member Fisher Auto Parts took part in the 2024 Worlds of Work event on October 30 at the Augusta Expo Center in Fishersville, Virginia. The event, designed to introduce seventh-grade students to career opportunities in local industries, welcomed nearly 3,000 attendees from the region.

Fisher Auto Parts made a notable impact at the event, with team members Jennifer Humphries and Scott Kozuch engaging students by answering questions and discussing career paths in automotive parts distribution and sales.

“Participating in the Worlds of Work event was a rewarding experience for Fisher Auto Parts,” said Kozuch. “Introducing young students to the world of automotive parts and distribution allows us to inspire the next generation about potential careers in this field. It was wonderful to see the curiosity and enthusiasm from students eager to explore different career paths.”

J.R. Bishop of Federated Auto Parts and Federated spokesperson and racing legend Kenny Schrader were also present. A key highlight of the event was the Federated Auto Parts No. 9 dirt-modified car, which attracted significant attention. Students enjoyed taking pictures with Schrader and the car while learning about the racing industry.

“It was fantastic to connect with the students at the Worlds of Work event,” Schrader shared. “The Federated No. 9 car really drew a crowd, and I loved sharing my passion for racing and the automotive industry. Events like these are excellent for providing young people with hands-on insights into our industry, sparking their interest, and hopefully setting them on a path to a rewarding career.”
