The Auto Care Association and the Equipment and Tool Institute (ETI) announced that Voyomotive LLC was selected as the 2015 Aftermarket Telematics Challenge winner. The award was presented at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) on Nov. 3 in Las Vegas.

“It’s an honor to win the 2015 Aftermarket Telematics Challenge by the Auto Care Association and the Equipment and Tool Institute,” said Peter Yorke, CEO and co-founder, Voyomotive. “These organizations highlight the best in auto care and vehicle service. VOYO offers users and independent service retailers previously untapped levels of automotive insights and security. By directly sharing vehicle information with a mechanic, VOYO increases efficiency for vehicle owners and productivity for service centers.”

“The Equipment and Tool Institute understands the importance telematics plays in today’s vehicle technology, and we were excited to co-sponsor the Aftermarket Telematics Challenge in partnership with the Auto Care Association,” said Greg Potter, executive manager, ETI. “VOYO is a new and innovative company in the aftermarket and represents the exciting opportunities, advancements and solutions in the telematics segment, and we couldn’t be more pleased that they were chosen as this year’s winner. VOYO’s product has some unique features and cost saving efficiencies and offers connectivity for older vehicles. ETI recognizes their contributions and congratulates them on a job well done.”

“VOYO’s features are truly innovative and represent the great leaps that the aftermarket community is making when it comes to technology and innovation,” said Taylor Mitchell, senior director, technology standards and solutions, Auto Care Association.

Now in its fourth year, the annual Aftermarket Telematics Challenge seeks to recognize the best examples of aftermarket technology in telematics. Winning products or solutions must serve the interests of independent automotive service retailers, and protect the right of consumers to choose where the information from their vehicle and their driving behavior is sent.
