The third annual OES Special Summit hosted by the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association’s (AASA) OE Service Council (OESC), is slated for Thursday, December 17th. This annual summit is the only one of its kind in the aftermarket, where suppliers who service the OE dealer channel gather and discuss best practices and review trends in the channel.

The virtual event is open to AASA members and non-members and features four sessions designed to prepare attendees for doing business in the OES Channel in 2021.

Experts will be speaking in key areas:

  • Government Affairs and the Election Impact: Ann Wilson, Senior Vice President, Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA)
  • Supply Chain and Distribution: Jeff Jorge, Principal, Baker Tilly
  • OE Dealer Trends: Jim Roche, WarrCloud
  • Economic Outlook: Shane Norton, HIS Markit

 The agenda is available here

This event is hosted by the OESC, one of AASA’s ten peer networking groups and forums. The executive committee of the OESC is led by David Williams, DENSO, and also includes Mike Hittle, Ford Motor Company, and Nick Viveros, Brake Parts, Inc.

The OE Service Channel is a fundamental business unit for suppliers and represents an area of great potential growth for manufacturers. The OESC is the first and only group of its kind to gather and discuss impacts, trends, and opportunities within the dealer channel. The council is focused on opening data sharing from dealer to suppliers to allow for better forecasting and demand planning, hearing from dealers on what they need from their aftermarket suppliers, and better understanding the market.
