Honeywell names leader for aftermarket business in North America
Honeywell Transportation Systems named Dan Yaung general manager of the company’s turbocharger and friction materials aftermarket business in North America.
Yaung will be in co-located in Troy, Mich. and Plymouth, Mich., splitting his time with both the Friction Materials and Turbo Technologies teams. Yaung will report to Olivier Rabiller, vice president and general manager for Honeywell Transportation Systems Aftermarket, who is located in Rolle, Switzerland, at Transportation Systems’ global headquarters.
“Dan will be responsible for leading the North American aftermarket cross-functional team in developing and implementing initiatives that deliver growth and customer value,” said Rabiller. “This move will help strengthen and focus our aftermarket business, which includes our Bendix® by Honeywell and Garrett® by Honeywell brands. We will continue to evolve the organization to meet the needs of our customers and our ability to appropriately serve them.”
In this new role, Yaung will be using the experience and knowledge of the Honeywell Friction Materials team and an industry leading product portfolio to meet the needs of the industry’s growing customer base in North America. On the Honeywell Turbo Technologies side of the business, he will work closely with the existing OEM team in Plymouth, Mich. to ensure the aftermarket portfolio continues to evolve from a heavily commercial vehicle focus to include an increased number of passenger vehicle turbochargers given the rapid increase of adoption in the North American new vehicle market.
Prior to this position, Yaung was the director of market and business development for Honeywell Transportation Systems in Rolle, Switzerland. He also served as director of global projects for Honeywell Friction Materials in Glinde, Germany, and was director of strategic supplier relationships for Human Resources Strategy and Transformation in Morristown, N.J.
