The Auto Care Association and the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) will be hosting a free webinar on business opportunities in the automotive industry in Chile. The webinar will take place on April 19, 2018 at 2 p.m. ET and will provide participants with a country profile, market information, best business prospects and information on the association’s upcoming trade mission to Chile.

Under the United States - Chile Free Trade Agreement (FTA), 100 percent of U.S. consumer and industrial goods exported to the region are no longer subject to tariffs. Chile is stable, prosperous and consistently ranks high on international indices relating to economic freedom, transparency and competitiveness. In addition, macroeconomic stability and growing integration with international capital markets has earned Chile an A plus credit rating, the highest in Latin America. The webinar will feature first-hand market insight from the Chilean Automotive Aftermarket Chamber of Commerce (CAREP) and the U.S. Commercial Service in Chile. Participants will also receive information about the opportunity to attend the Auto Care Association's trade mission to Chile taking place August 21-22, 2018. The Auto Care Association's trade missions are a part of the Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) award the association recently received from the U.S. Department of Commerce to help the automotive industry increase exports to free trade agreement partners in Latin America.
