ZF Aftermarket has released 25 Electric Axle Drive Repair Kits for cars and SUVs in the U.S. and Canada. The kits allow independent workshops to perform repairs without removing electric axle drives, to make it easier for shops to service electric vehicles.
The new kits expand ZF Aftermarket's selection of electric and hybrid vehicles, which include ZF Lifeguard e-Fluids, TRW Electric Blue brake pads, chassis components, and air suspension compressors developed specifically for these vehicles.
With the new e-drive kits, workshops can carry out repairs including:
- Replacing leaking coolant connections
- Repairing defective parking locks
- Changing speed or temperature sensors
- Replacing driveshafts
"Repair shops are seeing more electric cars and need spare parts to service them," said Mark Cali, head of independent aftermarket, USC for ZF Aftermarket. "As one of the leading producers of electric drives worldwide, ZF is now making its products available to the independent aftermarket in our region. We are excited to launch these specifically compiled kits for 25 repair scenarios on electric axle drives."
In addition to the repair kits, ZF Aftermarket recently introduced 10 new part numbers for TRW Brake Pads, extending coverage to more than 2 million more vehicles in operation. ZF Aftermarket plans to introduce more repair kits for various vehicle manufacturers in the future.
