Advance Auto Parts announced its restructuring plan that will close more than 700 locations by mid-2025 in its effort to improve business performance.
The automotive parts retailer plans to shutter approximately 500 corporate stores and 200 independently-owned locations. The company, which currently operates 4,781 stores across the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, has not specified which locations will close.
The announcement comes amid a broader trend of retail closures, with major chains expected to close more stores in 2024 than in any year since the pandemic-driven shutdowns of 2020, according to MSN.
