Advance Auto Parts has appointed Shweta Bhatia as executive vice president and chief technology officer with immediate effect. She succeeds Sri Donthi, who will assist with the transition before departing for a new opportunity.
"Shweta's history of successfully executing transformational programs that focus on speed, efficiency, and providing quality solutions to customers will greatly contribute to the execution of our three-year financial plan," said Shane O'Kelly, president and chief executive officer.
Bhatia brings over 20 years of retail and technology experience, most recently serving as senior vice president of technology at Dollar General, where she led a comprehensive technology transformation initiative. Previously, she held vice president positions at Walmart International and Kohl's Corporation, overseeing retail technology portfolios and multi-channel solutions.
An entrepreneur at heart, Bhatia founded Wisdom Info Tech, an award-winning technology firm, before her corporate career. She holds an MBA from Amity Business School and a bachelor's degree from IT College in India.
The appointment comes as Advance Auto Parts, a leading North American aftermarket parts provider, continues to execute its strategic growth plan serving both professional installers and do-it-yourself customers.
