NTN Bearing Corporation has announced that CEO Ukai has been appointed chairperson of the World Bearing Association, beginning a two-year term that started in September 2024.
The WBA, established in 2006, brings together three major regional bearing associations: the Japan Bearing Industry Association, the American Bearing Manufacturers Association, and the Federation of European Bearing Manufacturers' Associations.
The organization focuses on addressing industry-wide concerns, with combating counterfeit products being a current priority through education initiatives and collaboration with government authorities.
Ukai, who also serves as chairperson of the JBIA, will now lead the global association in its mission to promote "open economic engagement, sustainable development, and the protection of legal rights" across the bearing industry.
