Months after closing more than 700 stores, Advance Auto Parts announced plans to open 30 new locations across the United States by the end of 2025. The auto parts retailer also said it intends to aim for "at least an additional 100 new locations through 2027," according to Fast Company.
Advance operated nearly 4,800 stores across the U.S. and Canada at the end of 2024. The company's strategy includes opening new stores in larger "market hubs," though specific location details have not been provided.
"Advance Auto Parts is on the path to accelerate store growth and focused on the fundamentals of selling auto parts," said Shane O'Kelly, president and CEO. "Now, more than 75% of the company's stores are in markets where the company has the No. 1 or No. 2 position based on store density."
