Permatex, a leading innovator in chemical technology for automotive maintenance and repair, offers 1-Minute and 5-Minute Gel Epoxies that make epoxy use easier and guess-free. In developing these epoxies, Permatex employed several key innovations that differentiate these adhesives from other competitors in the market.
The 1-minute and 5-minute epoxies feature a non-drip formula for easy and mess-free application and a blue dye indicator that disappears when the resin and curing agent are fully mixed and ready to use. The non-drip formula eliminates waste and helps make application mess-free. It also makes it easier to apply the epoxy overhead and in hard-to-reach places. Both epoxies are ideal for use in bonding to metals, hard plastics, ceramics, and more. They also do not require any clamping.
Permatex General Purpose 1 Minute Gel Epoxy sets in just 1 minute and cures in 5 minutes. It can withstand up to 2,500 PSI. Permatex General Purpose 5 Minute Gel Epoxy offers additional flexibility before the setting time so parts can be repositioned. It sets in just 5 minutes, cures in 10 minutes, and withstands up to 3,400 PSI.
Permatex’s new gel epoxies are part of an innovative line that includes 12 advanced epoxy formulations. The line also includes: 2 Ton Epoxy, Marine H2 Hold Epoxy, 500° High Heat Epoxy, Cellulose Wood Epoxy, Black Plastic Welder™, and Steel Weld™ Epoxy.
