After taking a few years off due to COVID-19, Neu Tool & Supply Corp. is back hosting its annual Neu Tool Fair once again.
This year marks the 8th annual distributor-focused tool trade show, and the sixth time it has been held at the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The event took place on May 5 and 6.
“Our last tool fair was in 2019, so this was an opportunity to bring it back to life after being off since COVID,” said Troy Beauchamp, president of Neu Tool & Supply.
This year the two-day event brought in 120 vendors and 200 attendees from all over the country, up from years past.
“It’s a pretty good uptick for us and is an indication that there’s still a demand in shows,” Beauchamp said.
Although there were many products on display, ranging from hand tools and diagnostic tools to toolboxes and beef jerky, it was apparent that in-person networking was a main highlight.
“Our ultimate goal [of the tool fair] is relationship building,” Beauchamp noted. “Having all our suppliers and customers from around the country together is a relationship opportunity. The company as a whole has been super excited about it. They enjoy having the face time with customers.”
And for Beauchamp himself, this year’s tool fair was especially exciting, having recently joined the company just months ago.
“For me it’s awesome because I’m new and I’m absorbing all the relationships that we have from the supplier side as well as the customers,” he said. “It’s really exciting.”
Along with the opportunity for tool distributors to purchase tools and equipment for their business, the tool fair offered special discounts, door prizes, and the chance to tour the American Family Field, home of the Milwaukee Brewers.
