Trail King Industries, an North American trailer manufacturer, hosted a three-day National Sales Meeting on November 14-16, at the corporate headquarters in Mitchell, SD. The national team gathers annually for the introduction of new products, innovations and team building.

Trail King District Sales Managers (DSM) traveled in from around the country and Canada for the meeting which focused on product sales training and proper operation techniques for equipment. New employees were welcomed into the mix on the first evening with a team building event.

“The meeting is an opportunity to gather all of our sales people together to communicate valuable knowledge across the entire group,” said Barry Freifeld, Director of Sales. “It is a great time for our veterans on the team to share ideas and develop mentoring relationships with teammates.”

The meeting got underway with a company update and future vision from newly appointed President, Joe Kolb. This portion of the meeting allowed time for the DSM’s to offer some insight from the field and an open forum for communication with leadership. The day continued with updates from Quality, HR, Marketing and Parts.

On Wednesday the group met with engineering to look at upcoming product reviews and innovation. A manufacturing plant tour followed allowing for a sneak peak of the improvements that have come from the internal optimization project of the manufacturing process.

The remainder of Wednesday and all of Thursday was focused on product training and operation of equipment. The group was given time to exchange opinions and perspectives from their experiences with customers and dealers in the field. The three day event ended with the teams coming together to focus on ideas for product improvement and the introduction of new products and innovative technologies launching to benefit the 350+ dealers we serve every day.
