Kevin McGirl, president and co-founder of sales-i, has been at the forefront of major trends in the software industry for more than 20 years and is an early pioneer of the Software as a Service (SaaS) business model. A business strategist and market development specialist, he is the driving force behind sales-i’s go-to-market and business development strategy. McGirl has been instrumental in helping software companies to maximize their sales and marketing ambitions. During this period he has brought to market pioneering software applications, delivered one of the first subscription-based software models and has provided insight and education on SaaS best practices to many global independent software vendors.As co-founder of sales-i, McGirl is responsible for creating and implementing the sales and marketing strategy and working closely with partners and customers to grow the business. He started sales-i after his two-year tenure as a SaaS advisor and following nine years as founder of Vecta Software, a sales intelligence software company that under McGirl’s leadership grew from a start-up company to a market leader.McGirl also held senior management roles in companies including Computer Systems for Business, Proteus Software where he was part of the management-buy-out team that transformed a hardware-oriented business into a successful software company and Unisys. He was awarded a Management Sciences degree, with honors, from Loughborough University.
