David Byers

David F. Byers brings extensive franchise operations, finance, and marketing expertise as a leader in automotive franchise businesses. Byers led CARSTAR as CEO until 2015, delivering significant experience in multi-unit, retail franchise businesses. His executive background includes his role as Chief Operating Officer for H&R Block® in Kansas city, where he worked from 1999-2007. In that role, he oversaw the company's retail tax network, including its 13,000 retail locations and 100,000 employees. Byers also served as Chief Executive Officer for the Mutual Fund Store®, based in Overland Park, KS from 2007 to 2008. Most recently, Byers has been Chief Commercial Officer for Sirva®, a Chicago based global supplier of relocation and moving services operating under the Allied® and North American Van Lines® brands.  Byers, who holds a Bachelor of Arts from Michigan State University, graduated from Stanford University Graduate School of Business' Executive Education program with a degree in Finance. He resides in Leawood, KS, with his wife and three children.
