Trax announces name change

Dec. 2, 2010
To AXN Heavy Duty

Commercial vehicle solution provider, Trax Mechanical Systems, announces that it is changing its name to AXN Heavy Duty. The change, effective immediately, is being done to identify and distinguish itself from other North American component suppliers.

President and CEO, Sergio Carvalho said, “We are very pleased with the reception we have been getting from OEM’s, fleets and distributors. Our customers recognize the principles that drive our company, regardless of our name. The name change represents nothing more than our continued focus on delivering value-added solutions, and not to be distracted from that goal.”

Since the launch of its operations in Louisville earlier this year, AXN has been providing trailer axles, trailer landing gear and friction to both OEM and aftermarket customers. Other product launches are scheduled over the next several months including truck steer and drive axles, as well as trailer air suspensions.
