Gray Manufacturing Company and Maha

Sept. 30, 2010
Enter into an Agreement

Gray Manufacturing Inc., Maha USA, LLC and Maha Maschinenbau Haldenwang GmbH & Co KG have entered into a Patent License Agreement in connection with Wireless Coordinated Lift Systems or Wireless Mobile Column Lifts.

While terms of the agreement are confidential, the agreement allows Maha to produce, use and sell Wireless Coordinated Lifts Systems protected under Patents acquired by Gray through the United States Patent and Trade Office and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office.

Patents specifically covered under the Agreement include US Patent Number US RE 41,554 E, issued August 24th 2010; US Patent Number 7,014,012 issued March 21, 2006; US Patent Number 7,219,770, issued May 22nd, 2007 and Canadian Patent Number CA 2,406,340, issued January 23rd 2007.

The Agreement will continue until the last patent covered under the Agreement expires. Maha is very pleased with the Agreement and the fact that Maha will be the only ball-screw manufacturer with a valid License Agreement in place to manufacture and sell Wireless Coordinated Lift Systems or Wireless Mobile Column Lifts within the United States and Canada.

Gray Manufacturing President Stet Schanze indicated he is pleased with the Agreement, “We have found through our talks with Maha we share many of the same business values, including production of quality products. The Agreement will permit MAHA to manufacture and sell product covered under patents obtained and owned by Gray, and allow Gray to receive validation and appropriate compensation for its patent property rights.”

The two parties have also entered into a Private Label Agreement which allows Maha USA to offer their distribution network to other Gray designed and manufactured products. This allows Maha to offer an extended line of lifting equipment and provides to Gray an additional distribution channel.
