Features 4-minute video and 6-page brochure

Kenworth Truck Company offers a special website section (www.kenworth.com) for the new Kenworth T700, the latest evolution of Kenworth’s aerodynamic product line.

The highly efficient Kenworth T700 targets over the road and team driver operations with its driver comfort features. The T700’s spacious, wide cab has nearly 30 inches between the driver and passenger seats for convenient access to the 75-inch Aerodyne sleeper and its soaring 8-foot cathedral ceiling.

The roomy interior provides an industry-leading 60-plus cubic feet of storage space, and nearly 25 percent more interior volume compared to a similarly specified Kenworth T660.

The ergonomic cab has modern dash styling, state-of-art multiplexed instrumentation and the Kenworth Driver Information Center. The new Kenworth NavPlus, the trucking industry’s first PC-based, in-dash system, includes true truck-specific navigation, vehicle data, hands-free phoning, audio controls, camera inputs, roadside assistance and optional Internet access. Kenworth NavPlus is standard on T700 premium trim offerings and optional for all other trim levels.

The T700 also has best in class forward lighting, excellent serviceability features and modern aerodynamic styling. The Kenworth T700 has the lowest aerodynamic drag of any Kenworth truck in company history and earned Environmental Protection Agency SmartWay(SM) program certification.

The site includes an informative 4-minute video that shows the T700 in action on the highway and highlights key features.

The downloadable 6-page T700 brochure, which also is available from Kenworth dealers in the United States and Canada, provides information on fuel efficiency and savings, driver comfort, interior color schemes and standard and optional features for the cab and sleeper interior.

A full page is devoted to the 2010 Paccar MX engine, which is available with a horsepower range of 380 hp to 485 hp and torque outputs up to 1,750 lb-ft. This power range, combined with excellent fuel efficiency, high reliability, durability, lightweight design and low cost of ownership, makes the Paccar MX engine an ideal choice for both over-the-road line-haul and vocational applications.

The T700 site also includes a downloadable brochure on the disc-brake compatible Kenworth AG130 front air suspension for the Kenworth T660, T700 and T800. The AG130’s four air-bag configuration handles the majority of the vertical load while a lower leaf spring handles the remainder to help the suspension resist high input torque encountered with disc brakes. The design reduces vibration into the cab and onto the chassis to help provide a smooth ride.
