First Lucas Oil Service Center

Sept. 17, 2010
To be located in Evansville, Indiana

Lucas Oil Center 001 is set to open for business in December 2010, with additional facilities to follow in select Indiana locations. This first of its kind center will be located in Evansville, Indiana and represents a new era in fully integrated, car and light truck total care facilities.

The Center will feature the exclusive use of the full range of Lucas Oil products which not only work to protect and extend engine, transmission and other working components’ lives; but which also clean and beautify automobiles and trucks.

Bill Floyd, one of Lucas Oil Center LLC principals, summed up the new business, “Our goal is to build a facility that will appeal to everyone from the average motorist to a dedicated high performance enthusiast. We’ll offer express, full serve washes, auto and motorcycle detailing, oil change and lube service, as well as minor maintenance service to include brake, cooling and air conditioning system services.”

Naturally, the Lucas Oil Center will carry the full line of Lucas Oil products, as well as other brands that consumers have come to trust. The facility will be set up to handle cars, vans, light trucks, SUVs, RVs and motorcycles. Additionally, Bill states there business will offer performance upgrades and inventory an assortment of accessories and car care products.

The driving force behind this new venture is veteran automotive aftermarket executive Bill Floyd and his wife, Brenda —who herself has comprehensive local experience in the car washing and detailing business. The Floyds who reside in Warrick County have obtained licensing and the enthusiastic support of both Forrest and Charlotte Lucas, whose Lucas Oil brand has become a major presence in the marketplace.

With the Colts now playing in Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana residents have become much more familiar with the Lucas Oil name. Originally focused on producing additives for the heavy duty trucking industry, Lucas Oil has in recent years branched out into offering its own high performance and racing additives, motor oils and detail products for automotive and motorcycle use. With its extensive involvement in motorsports, Lucas Oil has experienced widespread consumer recognition.

Forrest Lucas added, “We’ve spent years developing what I believe are the very finest products of their kind for a wide variety of applications. The new Lucas Oil Centers will be a perfect medium for getting them to the general public.

There are many people who are familiar with the Lucas brand, but have not used our products because until now they’ve only been available to do-it-yourself enthusiasts who service their own vehicles. We are very supportive of the Floyd’s venture as its carries Lucas Oil name and really excited about the growth potential with what this facility offers the customer!”

“We want a clean and friendly environment the entire family can enjoy” Floyd said, adding, “Each facility will incorporate décor relating to Lucas Oil’s involvement in Motorsports, Colts football and local sports, with monitors playing HD videos, & current news.

“Customers will find a relaxed, inviting atmosphere featuring a full service coffee/snack counter, a kid friendly “play zone” and even a conference room for various local car and motorcycle clubs to use as a meeting area. Think of it as a cross between a NASCAR race shop and coffee house.”

This is the first of many Lucas Oil Centers that are planned for many communities across the country. Lucas Oil engine, transmission and car care products are the most asked-for by name in the industry and these branded facilities will give smart shoppers the ability to put their vehicles 100% behind the Lucas brand.

“… If we can’t make the absolute best product, then we just won’t make it.” Forrest Lucas.
