Connected Car Expo examines how technology is pressuring automotive retailers

July 24, 2013
J.D. Power to address the influence of technology in auto retail during expo on Nov. 21.

The rapid development and increasing consumer demand for mobile technologies is exerting enormous influence on the auto dealer network and will initiate rapid changes in the retail model. To address this topic, J.D. Power will hold an "Influence of Technology in Automotive Retail" presentation and discussion, during the Los Angeles Auto Show's first annual Connected Car Expo (CCE) on Nov. 21, 2013, from 1 to 2 p.m.

Experts will explore three major areas:

How advanced vehicle technology features are changing the role of the salesperson and how technological additions are creating greater time between sale and delivery.

How consumer use of the Internet and mobile devices is impacting the sales process.

Why dealers should adopt sales and service technology tools (i.e. tablet devices, text messaging, etc.) to  streamline processes.

This special presentation is an extension of the second annual J.D. Power and NADA Western Automotive Conference held on Nov.19 in conjunction with the Connected Car Expo and LA Auto Show Press Days. The presentation and discussion is open to all Western Automotive Conference, CCE and LA Auto Show Press Days attendees and will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Held Nov. 19 to 21, the CCE is designed to be the automotive industry's most comprehensive showcase of the new mobility solutions currently transforming the driving experience.
