Shell Lubricants provides additional training opportunities with LubeCoach Academy

Aug. 26, 2019
The company is developing over 25 different online training modules to educate fleet personnel.

Shell Lubricants recognized that many of their fleet customers indicate training as one of their primary needs, so the company created the LubeCoach Academy to address those needs. LubeCoach Academy is an online training program designed to educate fleet personnel.

The training program delivers training materials designed to optimize the utilization of lubricants and improve day-to-day operations of a fleet’s facility. The library of online training modules is continually updated, covering a range of topics on lubricants, maintenance, and safety. Training topics include:

  • The role of lubrication
  • Coolant maintenance
  • Wheel bearing maintenance
  • Greasing the truck and trailer
  • Safer road operations
  • Making the service area safer
  • Reducing contaminants in lubricants and coolants
  • The many factors of fuel economy
  • Understanding viscosity grades of lubricants
  • Rethinking fuel economy

Beyond the currently available modules, LubeCoach Academy is currently developing 25 different modules to continue expanding the topics covered and information offered.

Each training module takes about four to six minutes to complete. They are designed to be easy to utilize, digestible, and deliver valuable education and information without major time consumption. Results from LubeCoach Academy training are presented on a personalized dashboard, allowing users to track learning progress and compare results with the team. LubeCoach Academy is accessible wherever an internet connection is available, allowing fleet personnel to study and complete training when and where it suits their needs.
