MAHLE Aftermarket has announced the four finalists for the first-ever “MAHLE: The Choice of Champions” technician promotion grand prize drawing. The finalists will travel to the 2022 Automotive Aftermarket Product Expo (AAPEX) for the chance to win their choice from two custom-built vehicles exclusively designed by racing and automotive enthusiasts, Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Casey Currie.
The Vaughn Gittin Jr.-inspired RTR Spec 5 Mustang features several high-performance enhancements, and the Casey Currie Jeep sports an off-road-ready, high-suspension package. The custom builds used the full MAHLE family of products, including gaskets, pistons, bearings, rings, and filters, paired with support from the MAHLE Service Solutions tool and equipment division.
“It’s taken a while for us to get to this moment, and to say we are excited to announce the four lucky finalists is an understatement,” said Jon Douglas, president of MAHLE Aftermarket North America. “This promotion exemplifies our dedication to the customers who helped get us to where we are today and represents our commitment to providing aftermarket solutions fit for champions. We are eager to have these two incredible custom-built vehicles at this year’s show, and the opportunity to award the prize of a lifetime to the winner onsite is going to be fantastic!”
The grand prize ceremony takes place at the MAHLE Aftermarket booth (A-2661) at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1 at AAPEX 2022. Along with Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Casey Currie, “King,” Richard Petty will be present when the finalists select a key from his signature Charlie One Horse hat – one of which will unlock the lockbox holding the fobs to the custom vehicles.
The four finalists are:
· Jesse Yoder of Jess Performance in Shipshewana, IN
· Nathan Cox of Fox Plaza Automotive in Collierville, TN
· John Hubka of HC Auto Repair in Bryan, OH
· Shaun Spangler of SPS Motortech in Cockeysville, MD
In addition to the grand prize drawing, merchandise from Team RTR, Casey Currie Racing, Petty’s Garage, and MAHLE was also awarded randomly throughout the program in the form of “Swag Bags.”
