'Perfromance TV' to feature NHRA driver Tommy Johnson, Jr.

Masters Entertainment Group, as of January 2013, has moved its automotive programming to Velocity, beginning with their newest venture, "Performance TV," starring NHRA Top Fuel and Funny Car driver Tommy Johnson, Jr. and NHRA and IHRA Sportsman Driver Kathy Fisher.

In April, for 26 consecutive weeks, "Motorhead Garage," with automotive television royalty Sam Memmolo and Dave Bowman, will return for its fourth season.

Then in October, the audience favorite "Lokar Car Show" returns for a sixth season, with the series continuing to travel to the best cars shows in the country to find the most beautifully restored classics seen on television.

"Performance TV" will return in fourth quarter with more great products designed to improve the performance of your vehicle.

Masters is pleased to announce a 5-week mini-series covering the “Xtreme Drag Racing League” (X-DRL) in fourth quarter. This highly competitive series will highlight some of the best side by side drag racing.

More programming is being planned and will be announced in the coming months.

“We are so excited to be on a true automotive network,” said Masters Entertainment Group’s executive vice president, Butch McCall. “Under the Discovery Group’s umbrella, Velocity will only continue to grow automotive television in an exciting and new direction where the sky’s the limit!”
