SKF appoints Tom O’Brien as president of SKF Vehicle Service Market, North America

In his new role, O’Brien will oversee all sales and marketing initiatives for the SKF VSM automotive and heavy duty aftermarkets in North America.

SKF has announced the appointment of Tom O’Brien as president of SKF Vehicle Service Market (VSM), North America business unit, effective immediately. O’Brien previously served as the interim president for SKF VSM, North America following the passing of Mike McGrath in October. He also has served as the vice president of automotive sales for SKF VSM, North America since joining SKF in 2007.

In his new role, O’Brien will oversee all sales and marketing initiatives for the SKF VSM automotive and heavy duty aftermarkets in North America, and will report to Christer Cedervall, director, SKF, Vehicle Service market global. He will continue to be based at SKF’s Elgin, Ill. office.

O’Brien has over 30 years of aftermarket experience with various roles in sales and management.
