During opening ceremonies for Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2014 Bob Phillips, Chairman and CEO of Phillips Industries was announced as this year’s Hall of Fame recipient.  Phillips, a fifty-year veteran of the commercial vehicle industry, was recognized for his personal impact as well as the role Phillips Industries has played in the evolution of the heavy duty aftermarket.
 
Gary Meteer, Director Global Commercial Products, IHS Automotive - Driven by Polk, in presenting the award to Phillips, commented “Bob is seen as a true gentleman, of the highest integrity by all in the HD business.  He has earned the image of one who truly cares about the health of the industry and his company’s employees and customers.”  Since Phillips Industries was founded in 1928 as the H.W. Phillips Company, Bob and his colleagues have driven the company from a N.A. parts distributor to a global, full service aftermarket and OEM supplier.
