“Both new and net orders posted gains of 30 percent month over month in August," said Frank Maly, director – CV Transportation Analysis and Research at ACT. Maly said that 25,191 net orders were posted last month.

August saw a continuation of a strong order season for the trailer industry, according to the most recent State of the Industry: U.S. Trailers published by ACT Research Co. (ACT).

“Both new and net orders posted gains of 30 percent month over month in August," said Frank Maly, director – CV Transportation Analysis and Research at ACT. Maly said that 25,191 net orders were posted last month.

“Strength was widespread,” he said, “with nine of 10 trailer categories showing month over month and year over year growth.” Maly said that low cancellations indicated that fleet commitments were solid. “Conditions for the industry remain a strong and solid ‘green.’”
