ACOFAS announces Robert Greenwood to lead off SOLD15 opening session

Dec. 1, 2014
The fourth Annual SOLD program will be kicked off by Robert (Bob) Greenwood, an internationally recognized expert in the field of automotive service business management.

The American Council of Frame and Alignment Specialists (ACOFAS) is honored to have been selected as this year’s organizer of SOLD15. SOLD was organized three years ago to provide attendees of HDAW with technical information and to bring about awareness of new or existing service opportunities in an ever-changing business environment. Attendees of HDAW are keenly aware of the need to provide their customer base with outstanding service. SOLD offers the opportunity to improve service management skills and to increase awareness of the challenges, as well as potential liabilities, facing today’s service providers.

ACOFAS has announced that the fourth Annual SOLD program will be kicked off by Robert (Bob) Greenwood, an internationally recognized expert in the field of automotive service business management. This program will address many vital issues affecting all of us in the service industry.

Greenwood is president and CEO of Automotive Aftermarket E-Learning Center (AAEC). AAEC focuses on providing business management resources and development for the independent sector of the aftermarket. He has created business management development courses for automotive shop employers and managers, which are recognized as being the most comprehensive, industry specific courses of their kind in North America.

Greenwood has been a Keynote Speaker for many automotive and service associations throughout the United States and Canada. He has presented many two to three day seminars for aftermarket associations, such as HDA Truck Pride. He has encouraged seminar attendees to form study groups that focus on ongoing improvements. He has acted as a facilitator in many of these creative and forward thinking sessions.

This year, SOLD15 is honored that Greenwood will be offering us a concise, in-depth, half-day presentation of his valuable insights. During this session on Sunday, January 25, 2015, Greenwood will address:

  • The creation of measureable bottom line profitability and not just developing activity to keep busy, by covering the very issues that are required to be clearly understood by every level of the industry.
  • The direction of the industry: “Elevating your Mechanics to Professional Technicians”.
  • The building blocks required to insure change in a heavy duty shop environment. Vision, ability, motivation, resources and an action plan.
  • Procedures and formulas needed to focus on net income development.
  • Competitive pricing for profit.
  • Heavy duty shop efficiency. What is it? How is it calculated? How does it apply to our TEAM?
  • Wage Perception vs. Wage Reality.
  • How to establish internal service accountability which leads to client satisfaction.
