Kenworth adds keyless entry option to T680 and T880 models

May 1, 2015

Kenworth has introduced a new remote, keyless entry system as an option for the Kenworth T680 and T880.

Kenworth’s remote keyless entry provides two key fobs programmed to lock and un-lock the doors. Use a single click to unlock the driver’s side door and a double click to unlock both cab doors. Click the lock button once to lock both cab doors. The key fob also has a third button that allows operators to enable and disable the pre-trip light check without entering the cab.

“Our customers said they wanted a simple, secure and affordable keyless entry system and this remote system delivers that and more,” said Kurt Swihart, Kenworth marketing director. “This is a straightforward system that remotely locks and unlocks your truck doors and helps keeps your truck secure.”

The remote keyless entry system also can be retrofitted on existing Kenworth T680 and T880 vehicles with a retrofit kit available from your Kenworth dealer.
