Eaton expands line and speeds up deliveries for FLEX Reman transmissions

Power management company Eaton has enhanced its lineup of FLEX Reman transmissions with the recent launch of three initiatives.

Power management company Eaton has enhanced its lineup of FLEX Reman transmissions with the recent launch of three initiatives. These include:

  • The introduction of 12 new part numbers, each with forward shift bar housings that complement the existing standard shift bar housing transmission offerings.
  • The addition of the RTO 16908LL 10-speed model, which is popular in a variety of on/off-highway vocational applications.
  • The FLEX program also now includes the implementation of a new delivery policy that can provide same day shipments.

The additional FLEX Reman models were added to expand the availability of the popular aftermarket transmissions and are offered for all makes and models of trucks in North America. The new models became available July 1.

“By adding the RTO-16908LL model and the forward version of each of these other popular transmission models to the FLEX portfolio, as well as dramatically improving availability of the FLEX lineup, Eaton is better able to serve our customers’ needs,” says Bill Fouch, aftermarket marketing manager, Eaton Vehicle Group.

Because Eaton FLEX Reman transmissions cover a wide range of torques and are shipped with no clutch housings, truck dealers are able to lower their parts inventories and still increase the availability of multiple remanufactured transmission models. In addition to dealers, fleets also benefit from the FLEX line with enhanced access to the many models of Eaton remanufactured transmissions.

FLEX Reman transmissions, with standard or forward shift housings, are available for a variety of the most popular Eaton transmissions including the FR 10-speed and RTLO 13- and 18-speed models. All are made with 100 percent genuine Eaton components and carry a two-year/unlimited miles base warranty. Extended protection plans are also available.
