J.W. Speaker Corporation has launched the world's first dynamically "adaptive" motorcycle headlight for the aftermarket, the Model 8790 adaptive low beam LED headlight. This PAR56 (7" round) LED headlight addresses a longstanding shortcoming with motorcycle lighting at night, that is good visibility while cornering, by filling in the void of light to the left or right of the motorcycle. The unit's advanced electronics and embedded sensors calculate bank angles on a real-time basis, automatically directing a light array angling up or down in the foreground as the motorcycle leans. Additionally, the Model 8790 adaptive headlight intelligently "tunes" low beam and banking optics in a way that maximizes visibility in corners.

As a result, J.W. Speaker has solved a fundamental problem of night-time visibility that current aftermarket and OEM motorcycle headlights are not able to address, delivering a technological breakthrough that dramatically improves operator comfort and safety.

Tim Speaker, co-president of J.W. Speaker Corporation explains, "Our focus on innovation, particularly for the motorcycle industry where we have established ourselves as a market leader in LED lighting technology, has resulted in a breakthrough already recognized by OEMs as a 'must-have' moving forward. The exciting opportunity here for J.W. Speaker and our distribution partners is to retrofit millions of motorcycles with our Model 8790 adaptive low beam LED headlights, setting a new standard for exceptional night-time visibility."

The Model 8790 adaptive headlight platform features J.W. Speaker's innovative low beam solid optic technology and ComfortLite high beam providing best-in-class foreground illumination and light above the horizon. The unit is designed as a plug & play solution for a wide range of PAR56 (7" round) motorcycle mounting buckets.
