Pirelli has just recently started supplying truck tires to MAN Truck & Bus in Europe, as part of its original equipment. During the course of the year, bus tires will complete the product range. The agreement between Pirelli, the premium tire manufacturer, and MAN Truck & Bus, one of the leading manufacturers of medium and heavy commercial vehicles at the global level, is mainly focused on the :01 Series, the newest Pirelli product line.
This agreement has been achieved after several tests conducted by MAN Truck & Bus engineers under different weather and road conditions. Pirelli obtained 40 homologations for different patterns and sizes of tires for truck and bus. A great result that proves once again Pirelli’s strong commitment in developing innovative technologies and confirms the excellence of the newest :01 Series product line.
Starting from the beginning of 2016, these Pirelli products have been supplied to MAN Truck & Bus:
- H:01 for long haulage, offers low fuel consumption, mileage and safety, as “best in class” with regards to wet breaking performance;
- R:01 II for regional application, long-lasting and resistant, with highest performance in wet or dry conditions, even at low temperatures, and with better road holding;
- G:01, ideal for construction application, offers the highest resistance to lacerations and off road traction, improved mileage and acoustic comfort on asphalted road;
- MC:01 for urban usage, the most advanced patented technology of Pirelli :01 Series applies to the specific needs, in order to guarantee: greater mileage, reduced fuel consumption, comfort and safety.
The tire size range includes the most popular sizes in dimensions from 17.5” to 22.5”.
